Thinking of joining the Dawlish & Teignmouth Photographic Club?

Welcome! We are pleased that you are thinking of joining. Here is some information to help you make your decision.
(If you have joined us already, there is a lot of useful advice on our Information for Members page)

Whilst aware that the threat of Covid has not entirely disappeared, we are back to holding our regular meetings in the Village Hall.
We are delighted to be meeting back in the Village Hall again following the lockdowns. However, please do not come to the hall if you are feeling in any way unwell.
Zoom

During the pandemic we used Zoom for all of our weekly meetings. We have discovered many benefits to using Zoom, and in order to gain maximum benefit from the technology, we shall continue to hold some of our future meetings on Zoom.

Please see the 23/24 calendar for full details.
Do I need to be of any particular skill level to join?

For us it doesn’t matter. We have members of all ages, with all abilities and all types of cameras, from highly proficient camera users to those who snap on their phones. As long as you enjoy, or are interested in photography, you will be very welcome.
What can I expect from being a member of the club?

We meet on Wednesday evenings at Holcombe Village Hall from September to May and offer a full programme (see the calendar), including:
-
Regular well-known professional, sometimes local, and occasionally international photographers, covering a range of genres and techniques

-
Opportunities to share your images and get critique from other members, and to have your images selected to represent our club at regional competitions
-
Club social outings to a variety of local places of photographic interest
-
We run occasional fun competitions and challenges on our website. See the galleries.
-
Opportunities to ask questions or seek advice from other members, and sharing of skills and expertise.
-
Local and online photographic exhibitions
Please note: We are not currently able to meet up in person because of Covid guidelines, but we are still able to provide a full programme as detailed above through weekly online sessions using Zoom.
Try it out

There is no pressure to join and you can come along to 3 evenings for free to see if it’s for you, or not.
Can I just turn up?

If you would like to come along, just send us a message using our Contact form in advance so that we know you’re coming and one of our committee members will meet you when you arrive to show you around and introduce you to the club.
Any questions?

Feel free to get in touch via our Contact form.
We look forward to seeing you!
