Dawlish and Teignmouth Photographic Club welcomed Tim Jones as speaker on Wednesday evening.

Marketing manager for Fotospeed, a company specialising in photo papers, inks and printers, Tim shared his extensive knowledge on what can be a daunting subject.

Those wishing to hone their skills or hoping to try printing at home, were given expert advice on simpifying the process in order to achieve the desired result.

Tim brought along sample prints to demonstrate the effects on glossy, matt and textured papers advising members on the advantages and disadvantages of using various printers and inks, including running costs.
