It was competition time this week for Dawlish & Teignmouth Photographic club, the 3rd open digital of the season, and as ever members rose enthusiastically to the challenge, ensuring a good entry .
Despite snow and icy roads, Ian Bateman braved the journey from Exmouth to judge a wide
array of images, covering subjects in black and white and colour.
There were some extremely imaginiative abstracts as well as wonderful wildlife, architecture, portraits and flora, taken at locations near and far.
Ian is no stranger to our club and as ever gave a detailed appraisal of each photograph, all
delivered with his usual good humour, plus useful tips on how to get the best from your camera. Particularly helpful for those just entering the world of photography.
The awards were;
Gold; Eddie Holden - Otter's eye view. Tony Wilson - Misty sunrise
Silver; Eddie Holden, Bob Normand
Bronze; Tony Wilson, Rob Landberger,Eddie Holden
Highly commended; Alex Rosen , Ken Holland
